It is our mission to improve the lives of young people.

We do this by offering bespoke activities and awards for young people up to the age of 25 years, giving them the skills and confidence they need to succeed in life.

The Starfish Way programme has been incredibly beneficial for our son.. It gave him structure, purpose, and achievable goals that boosted his confidence and independence. The different sections helped him build routine and social skills in a supported environment. It’s been a huge part of his personal growth and a real source of pride for him and us.”

The Starfish Way is designed to help young people with additional support needs to build confidence and the skills needed to succeed in life.

See you later

It’s not goodbye but see you later to a group of 11 s1 Perth High School pupils, who reside in the Carse area and have been attending a 6-week transition programme with us designed to build confidence, team work skills and resilience. The project not only supported pupils as they settled into secondary school but will also prepare them to play an important role in welcoming and guiding p7 pupils from the Carse area next year. We look forward to welcoming them back in the spring!

Winter Walks & Hot Choc

Kinnoull Day Opportunities enjoyed a
winter walk in Quarrymill. We then made a fire and the group enjoyed burgers and hot chocolate with mallows.

OPEN GROUP

Our open group is set on developing the skills of young people, as well as getting their chosen Award.

We work on social and physical development whether it is outdoors or in public.

If the individual chooses to do their Duke of Edinburgh Award, there are four parts to it- Skills, Volunteering, Physical and Expedition. We work to make each section as enjoyable and fun as possible for our young people and by the end of it they come away with new skills for life.

Our group is nothing like school – we do not expect you to be writing or sitting at a desk all the time, the majority of what we do is outside. So, if you struggle to sit and listen, our The Starfish Way programme Is perfect for you.
